Florida Photographer Captures Close-up Photos of a Lightning Bolt

A Florida photographer narrowly escaped death when lightning struck just a few feet away from his feet during a storm. John Cobb, 33, was in his backyard taking pictures of a lightning storm that descended over his hometown of Orange City when a bolt nearly struck him down. Just moments before the near-death experience, Cobb decided to put a timer on his camera and walk inside to get a drink, which likely saved his life. (x)
